This page will give you a baseline for our projects. We started the work way before we started this site so a lot of projects are already under way. This is a general overview of the house. We first discovered this house while stationed in Washington D.C. while browsing listings on the web. I saved copies of the web listing as well as a web brochure. As you can see there was not much info to go by, which was typical of most listings we viewed. So we added it to the list and contacted a realtor to view the place. We fell in love with it from the start, and after looking at may other houses in the area we returned and purchased this one.
There were a few things that drew us to this house more than the others. It has 3 fireplaces. Two of them have great tile work that I consider irreplaceable. The first one (our Red Fireplace) has classic Victorian ladies embossed on the tiles. These pictures are top and bottom view. The second fireplace (our Tan Fireplace) has various vines embossed on the tiles. This fireplace does not function, the guts were removed years ago and it was boarded up. Our first clue was the carpet going into the fireplace. We plan to open this back up and make it usable.

Not to mention the stained glass, woodwork, and pocket doors, we have 5 in all.
